Founded in 1980 - the pre-dawn of the PC era - Microtech's
first product was an 8-inch floppy disc conversion program and sub-system.
By the mid-80's, Microtech's focus had shifted to magnetic tape
- a natural evolution of both the company's software expertise and
its customer base. By the early 90's, Microtech was the leader in
multi-platform PC based tape duplication systems. Anticipating a
shift toward optical media in the mid-90's, Microtech applied its
years of experience in format, device and duplication technology
to serve the emerging CD market. Microtech’s first automated
CD duplicator was introduced in 1996; CD publishing/printing capabilities
were added in 1997. Now, Microtech's product line includes support
for DVD and the story continues…
